'Children of Mountains' is the annual international festival of children's folk ensembles in Nowy Sacz. In this year our town hosts children from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Latvia, Slovenia, Romania, Slovakia and Indonesia. More about the festival you can read here.
Children present cuture of their countries by singing, folk-dancing and national clothes.
The festival has started on Sunday and will go on the whole week. Every day people can admire performances of the children from particular country and their mates from Polish ensembles.
Today we present you photos from the yesterday's show. You can see the children from the ensemble 'Lola' from Sarajevo in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

I would have enjoyed this festival very much. I am not at all familiar with their cultures and I would have loved to learn more through this. Their costumes are wonderful!
This is so cool! When I was growing up in Tuzla, B&H, there was not much emphasis on folk dancing and there was more here in the US when I came in '70 thru the church ensambles. I'm so glad that now that heritage is being preserved.
