Weather Station

In today's photo there is Nowy Sacz's weather station. It is located in the center of the town, next to the former monastery of Franciscans and the Evangelical Church (see here).

A beautiful setting for a weather station. The placement of a weather station on grass that gets watered can make a difference in the temperature readings in the summer, as the temperature will be cooler. In Arizona, USA, the Weather Bureau has required that weather stations be moved from grassy areas to desert areas to get a more natural official temperature reading. But maybe grass grows naturally in your area of Poland, so maybe that is a natural setting for the weather station.

I'm envious because as far I have seen in your beautiful pictures you have nice weather there, sooo different from Joinville where is awful, warm and humid all time!

Nice photo m_m!

Weather stations are good. They tell you whether the weather will be good or bad and whether you should get inside to get out of the weather.

That's true whether you believe the weather can change quickly or not.

Gosh, now I want to know what all those little things are!

How are your guys at predicting the weather? Ours can be awfully bad sometimes!
