Stary Sacz

Today, we post a photo from Stary Sacz - lovely little town located just 8 km from Nowy Sacz. In the future we will show you more photos from this charming place.

This is a familiar sight in Oregon these days. The harvest season is nearing the end though.

I think hay is being harvested all over the world about now. I like the way you composed this shot, also. The eye is drawn along the hay bales to the towers and mountains in the distance. Excellent!

By the way, what does the word "Sacz" mean? Town or village?

@Jacob - no, the word "Sacz" doesn't mean "town" or "village". It doesn't mean anything in Polish. It comes from the word "Sandecz" (we also don't know anything about meaning of this word).
Nowy Sacz was called "Nova Sandecz" and since about 1329 our town has had the name "Nowy Sacz".
