Masonic sign

Today we present you the masonic sign. During one of our walk through the town we noticed that many buildings in Nowy Sacz have such symbols on their facades.
This sign was found on the yellow tenement on Narutowicza street - just behind the St. Casimir church (the whole building you can see here).
If you enlarge the photo you can see that there is the image of Saint Mary on one of the glasses- strange composition with masonic symbol:)

Interesting find, a very explicit marking. Here masonic signs are more common on statues of illustrious fellow citizen of 19th Century, often masons themselves.

I don't think there are many masonic outward signs here. The French are morbidly fascinated with masonry and for the most part, hate it with a passion.

Oczywiście wszystko to w 'piięknym XIX wieku'.

This is very strange. Most of the people in your town are Roman Catholic, I suppose, and the Roman church has always been very anti-Masonry!

Fascinating stuff.

I am sure there is a novel waiting to be written here.
