The Wooden Architecture Route [9] - Ropica Gorna

We continue going through the Wooden Architecture Route. We present you an old Greek Catholic church from 18th century. It is now a Roman Catholic church. Unfortunately we were late and the church was locked so we weren't inside.
More information about this church you can read in the second photo.

Another beautiful old wooden church. I am thoroughly enjoying this series! I love all the little onion towers with crosses. And yes, it's amazing that so many of them survived WWII, especially since they're so easy to catch on fire.

Fantastic expression of orthodox churches.

The light tone of the wood is so different from the other wood churches. No explanation in the note, maybe it's only 'younger' at a couple of hundred years...
