There is something about wood that connects with life...perhaps its warmth, or vulnerability.

We were at Disney World (Epcot) today and saw a replica of a Norwegian Stave Church which is all wood, also.

Fascinating architecture. If the top of the building on the left were different, it would indeed look like a Norwegian Stave Church.

Wonderful wooden church with blue sky.

The church looks so fragile compared to the brick and concrete structures I'm used to seeing.

Vulnerability, that's the word. Wooden architecture rarely gets very old. A heritage to care for.

What stunning churches! Maybe you know that north-western Romania also has lots of wooden churches. I'm amazed they manage to last so long!
