Sometimes... when the clarity of the air is very good... you can see from Nowy Sacz the Tatra Mountains! In today's photo the clarity is not very good, but it is good enough to see the mountains (it means that sometimes the Tatras can be seen even more clearly).The distance between Nowy Sacz and the Tatras is about 50-60 kilometers.

Ohh, we almost forget, more noticeable elements of the photo are the railway bridge over the Dunajec River and the mentioned river:)

The nearest place I have been to Nowy Sacz is Zakopane, at the foot of the Tatra Mountains.

Czasami - ale to zdarza się naprawdę rzadko - można zobaczyć Tatry gdy wjeżdża się do Krakowa od pn strony. I podobno też z Kopca Kościuszki - ale nigdy mi się nie udało zsynchronizować wycieczki na kopiec i takiej pogody.

Very nice landscape! I also like to see the bridge amidst all that green.
One of the things I most like about living in Santiago is that the mountains are nearby, and that's an excellent thing when you're lost (it helps you locate easily around town).
