This is one of the gates to the municipal cementery of Nowy Sacz. It is situated on Rejtana Street. For interested in history - here you can check who was Rejtan.
We would like to share with you our best photos of Nowy Sacz and its neighborhood. Our town is not large (about 85,000 inhabitants; located in the south of Poland) but there is a lot of places which are worth to see.
We hope you will enjoy Nowy Sacz!

Another fascinating story...and I've got to ask if you know why they put fences and gates around cemeteries?
Answer: People are just dying to get in.
The cemetery gates look really beautiful. Do you happen to know how old is it?
Greetings from Santiago, Chile :)
excellent photo and interesting choice. this is good to share. I like old cemeteries and this one evokes such history.
Piękny cmentarz, ale dla mnie smutne miejsce!
You preempted my question! Any chance to get inside? I am really interested in old cemeteries.
Most interesting photo. A gate to keep somebody out or to keep somebody in?
Beautiful.
I hope you take a photo of this gate in autmn again.
The architecture is most ineresting as it is a mix of sandstone and clinker. It gives me pleasure.
Wonderful entrance! What do the side niches stand for? Were there any statues?
Ciekawa architektura -- i te 'wieżyczki' po bokach i to nawiązanie do gotyku.
@Cristóbal - we don't know how old it is...:(
@JM - we don to remember if there were any statues. Currently, as you can see, people put there obituaries.
