Celebration of the May 3rd

The three photos were taken yesterday in the town square. There was a performance of Nowy Sacz's orchestra of border guard on the occasion of the Polish national holiday of May 3rd.
Yesterday it was the 218th anniversary of the establisment of the Constitution of May 3, 1791.
For interested in history we can add that during the communist rule in our country, it was impossible to put the Polish flag on your balcony May 3rd. You had to hang out the flag on May 1st (it was communist holiday) but you had to remove flags May 2nd because they were not allowed during May 3rd (National Polish Holiday).

You have to be proud of a country which has a Constitution since 1791. History has not been fair with Poland, the Heart of Europe, but now you are at last free to celebrate.
I hope you had a good Constitution Day!

Piękna uroczystość. Tak, tak, pamiętam te przeboje z flagami. Trzeba było ściągac 2 maja, a potem wieszać na 9 maja z okazji Dnia Zwycięstwa.
Teraz do kompletu mamy jeszcze Dzień Flagi (2 maja), o czym uprzejmie powiadomił mnie operator sieci komórkowej, dopadając mnie nawet w Pradze :)
