April Theme Day: the Bomb of the Yellow

This interesting tenement is situated on Narutowicza Street, near the St. Casimir's church. We posted it some time ago (here) but from another side - it is a corner building. The architecture of this building is full of details - we will show you them soon:)

And short note especially for Jacob - Narutowicza Street got its name from the first president of Poland after the I World War - Gabriel Narutowicz. He served the office just several days (11-16 December 1922). He was shot in National Gallery of Art 'Zacheta' in Warsaw. More information here.

OK M_M...you're a pretty smart cookie...you knew I'd ask about Narutowicza...

First of all, thanks for the info. I went to the Wikipedia link and found all that quite fascinating. Five days and shot dead!

The house I like, too; well, except for the color. Of course, if it wasn't sorta yellow, you wouldn't have posted it and I would bereft of important information.

Thanks again...and have a great day!

And gray is such a beautiful highlight colour for yellow.

budynek rzeczywiście bardzo ładny, pamiętam jak go odnawiali... a moja koleżanka namalowała fragment jego starej wersji (furtkę i schody).

I like its little nooks and crannies. Even if there were lots of people, it looks easy to find a spot where one can be alone.

Beautiful choice for theme day!

That's wonderful. I'm wondering if the bit above the arched door and to the right used to be a window which is now filled in, or if it's just decorative?
