Spring vs. Winter. The final battle

This year the winter is extremely owly and it does not want to accept that it's already a spring-time:) But it seems to be that the victory of the spring is very close:)
In today's photo you can see the ruins of Nowy Sacz's castle, another perspective of it with some historical background you can find here.

I can just imagine roaring fires and ladies embroidering tapestries while waiting for their knights!
I'm hoping it is the FINAL battle!

Very funny title. I like the strange effect of the greenish walls of the castle against the "spring" sky.

Anywhere there is snow. Here too, there was snow. Now we will start a good season.

M_M - that first picture should be on a travel brochure! It is just superb...well exposed and kind of a muted effect. Powerful!

That's a really good photo. In fact it has a painting tone to it.

Thanks for visiting Norwich Daily Photo and leaving your comment. Come back tomorrow!

I agree about that first shot being well balanced. But I don't mind winter hanging around these few weeks. Enjoying all that sunlight on a bit of snow isn't half bad. Same story here.

Would be a great location for a historical movie!

I love the caption. Sounds a bit like a scene from Lord of the Rings. Beautiful castle!

Thankyou for visiting my Helsinki blog.
You have a wonderful town. So many pretty buildings and nthe town hall is gorgeous.
I partucularly fell for this picture. I love castle ruins and this is very attractive. Also the slightly haxy light in this picture akes it very precious. We are in about the same stage between winter and spring allthough there's less snow on the ground left now and my little crocuses are sticking merrily up but not quite flowering yet.
