Nowy Sacz Welcomes You!
Nowy Sacz Welcomes You ('Nowy Sacz Wita').
Today you can see the spring view on the castle and its neighborhood. This place is much more charming now than in winter. One of its element which you can not see during wintry months is flower clock (see in the below photo).

Niskowa
The season of bicycle's trips has already started! Thanks to this, we are going to post more photos from outside the town. The Nowy Sacz's region has many beautiful little towns, villages and places of superb nature. We will try to show you the most interesting of them.
Today we are visiting Niskowa - a village located about 5 kilometres from Nowy Sacz.
When we enjoyed cycling we noticed these sweet cows:) They were visibly anxious because of our presence there, but after few minutes they went back to nibbling grass:)Today we are visiting Niskowa - a village located about 5 kilometres from Nowy Sacz.
We want to share with you this idyllic view:)

Upholding the balcony is a tough work. These athletes (woman and man) also guard the entrance to one of the tenements on Jagiellonska Street (we called this building 'sunny optimism' - you can see it here and here).

'Our' house
Walking around the town we found 'our' house:) If you look carefully you can see the two 'm' letters on the detail situated on the roof of the building:) The house is partly covered by some kind of plant - it will look great when it becomes green:)
This building is situated on Sienkiewicza Street (Henryk Sienkiewicz was Polish writer, he was honoured by the Nobel Prize in 1905).

Palm Sunday
Today is the Palm Sunday. In the photo you can see the palm which is on the town square. Its height is about 25 metres and there are about 7,000 flowers on it.
We remember that when we were children there was the competition for the highest palm in some churches in Nowy Sacz:) Nowadays, such competition takes place for example in Lipnica Murowana (in the south of Poland) - some palms were even 30 metres high. In our climate palms for this Sunday are made mostly from flowers (also artificial ones), ribbons etc.

April Theme Day: the Bomb of the Yellow
This interesting tenement is situated on Narutowicza Street, near the St. Casimir's church. We posted it some time ago (here) but from another side - it is a corner building. The architecture of this building is full of details - we will show you them soon:)
And short note especially for Jacob - Narutowicza Street got its name from the first president of Poland after the I World War - Gabriel Narutowicz. He served the office just several days (11-16 December 1922). He was shot in National Gallery of Art 'Zacheta' in Warsaw. More information here.
