Colourful hand
Yesterday we presented the coat of arms of Nowy Sacz. Today we would like to show you the commercial sign of Nowy Sacz. It is placed on gadgets which should advertise our town (for example T-shirts, ballpens, cups etc.) and as you can see - also on bus:)
The white mark in the middle of the hand is a symbol of the townhall. The shape of the hand was chosen because the town square and surrounding streets have similar shape from the air (on aerial photos).
There was a huge discussion about this sign in Nowy Sacz. One catholic association stated that the sign is inspired by satanic movements and demanded from the local authorities to withdraw this project. Finally, the sign is in use. We are curious if you like it.

Gold Polish Autumn
The weather in the autumn this year is really beautiful - there are many of warm sunny days. We call such weather 'the Gold Polish Autumn' (złota polska jesień):) But there are also some disadvantages of such weather - some people (especially in villages in the neighbourhood) have problem with access to water because there was little rain in the autumn this year.

Cafe Kawka
In the Planty park you can not only walk but also drink some coffee or tea in 'Cafe Kawka'. There are usually many people - we had to wait for the right moment to take this photo (when there were not so much people). The name 'Kawka' is in Polish play of words which mean: a small coffee and a bird - jackdaw.

New Queen Hedwig
This is the photo of totally renovated Queen Hedwig Street (ulica Królowej Jadwigi). Not only roadway is new, but also pavements and sewage system - it was necessary because when it was raining, the street was full of water. Finally, we also have the bicycle path (this part of pavement with red setts). Now it is nice to walk, and especially drive through this street without making slalom among holes in a roadway:)
